Carol Glazer joined the National Organization on Disability in July, 2006 as the Executive Director for the National EmployAbility Partnership. For seven years prior to joining NOD, Glazer was a program development and management consultant to foundations, universities and nonprofit organizations working to improve conditions in inner-city communities. Her clients included the Ford, Kellogg, Rockefeller, Robert Wood Johnson, Fannie Mae, Garfield and Goldman Sachs Foundations; as well as Harvard University. She consulted in substantive areas of education; youth development; affordable housing and community development finance; and workforce development.


From 1996-1999, Carol was the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, and prior to that she spent eleven years at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the nation’s largest community development financing organization. Ending her tenure at LISC as a Senior Vice President for National Programs, Carol was the senior ranking woman on LISC’s five-member management team, helping the organization grow from a staff of forty in New York to five hundred staff in thirty-six field offices. Carol holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
